Raymond Doyal McBryde

U.S. Veteran

Mr. Raymond Doyal McBryde, age 86, of Cedartown, GA passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

Mr. McBryde was born on April 28, 1926 in Polk County, a son of Mr. James Barney McBryde and Mrs. Mary Rebecca Parham McBryde. He retired from the Good Year Tire and Rubber Company after many dedicated years of service. Mr. McBryde was a U.S. Veteran proudly serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the Caledonia Lodge #121 F&AM, the Georgia Mountain Music Club and was also a member of the American Legion. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. McBryde was preceded in death by his parents, James Barney McBryde and Mary Rebecca Parham McBryde and Eleven brothers and sisters.

Raymond Doyal McBryde is survived by his loving wife of 65 years; Louise Wiggins McBryde, his son and daughter in law; Gary and Marsha McBryde, Sr., his grandchildren; Cristy & Todd Bowman, Gary McBryde, Jr., Brian Patrick & Brandy McBryde, his great grandchildren; Alliyah, Riley, Dadrien, Kayleigh and Rihanna McBryde. A number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Raymond Doyal McBryde will be conducted on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Earnest Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery with masonic rites conducted by the Northwest Georgia Memorial Masonic Group. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Litesey Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be members of the Northwest Georgia Memorial Masonic Group. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Willbanks, David Brown and Paul Arnold Mason.
